Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our Finance and Business Integration team in Arlington, VA. This role partners with accounting operations, business, finance, and technology teams to automate financial flows for our Stores business and support launches of global initiatives.

Candidates should have 5+ years of finance or analytical experience, a bachelor's in accounting, and strong communication.

Qualifications

5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients.
Knowledge of internal control framework (COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency.
Knowledge of GAAP research tools and the FASB codification.

Responsibilities

Define strategies with accounting and technology teams to own large, multi-year accounting automation programs.
Own and manage lifecycle activities from planning to stakeholder engagement for multiple projects.
Automate processes to improve accuracy of financial statements.
Support expansion of Amazon business by implementing controlled financial processes.
Consult with diverse stakeholder teams across Amazon.
Make empowered decisions to drive projects to completion.
Collaborate with Amazonians from diverse backgrounds.
