Johnson & Johnson is recruiting a Director, Policy & Procedure in Raynham, MA. This senior finance leader will establish, govern, and continuously improve global accounting policies and internal control frameworks for DePuy Synthes, supporting regulatory compliance and business growth.

The role partners with Finance, Audit, Compliance and senior leadership to drive policy clarity, ICFR effectiveness, and cross-functional adoption across geographies, with potential transition to DePuy Synthes

Qualifications

• 10–12 years in accounting or financial reporting with director-level experience.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and ICFR/SOX.
• Proven leadership and people development.
• Ability to communicate complex accounting guidance to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience partnering with auditors and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, documentation, and governance of global accounting policies and procedures in line with US GAAP, statutory, and governance requirements.
• Serve as primary policy interpretation authority for accounting guidance.
• Oversee design and effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) with Internal Audit and Compliance.
• Monitor changes in accounting standards and coordinate adoption and implementation activities.
• Collaborate with regional and global finance leaders to ensure consistent policy application across entities.
• Support internal and external audits with policy clarity and timely issue resolution.
• Drive initiatives to improve efficiency, transparency, and scalability of finance processes.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team with a culture of accountability.
