Job summary

Seminole Hard Rock Support Services seeks a senior accounting professional to lead complex GL activities, multi-currency inter-company reconciliations, and payroll-related accounting. You will mentor accountants, coordinate with payroll and Benefits, and drive accurate month-end closes.

The role requires strong Excel skills, deep GAAP knowledge, and proven experience with Workday Financials and international accounting practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years of accounting and supervisory experience with international exposure.
• Solid understanding of full payroll cycle.
• Experience with multi-currency journal entries, inter-company transactions and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ability to build relationships with all levels of management and staff.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent time management, organization and interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of major accounting software packages.
• Capable of handling advanced accounting concepts with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of GAAP and Workday Financials for GL and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and posts complex journal entries to General Ledger as needed.
• Reviews balance sheet reconciliations including inter-company accounts with multi-currency transactions and assists with variances.
• Manages, mentors, motivates and trains accountants while promoting teamwork.
• Leads reconciliation of payroll tax, self-funded health plan and other benefit liability accounts; performs variance analysis.
• Resolves garnishment, 401(k), SERP balance sheet discrepancies.
• Assists with payroll bank account variances and ensures related entries are accurate and timely.
• Communicates with payroll processors, compliance and Benefits to resolve variances.
• Assists with shared service inter-company monthly billing process.
• Assists with analyzing fluctuations in Corporate Overhead reports from budget.
• Oversees month-end and year-end close; supports acquisition project setup with development.
