Job summary

Allstate is seeking a Director of Global Accounting to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, controls, and modernization across its global business. You will blend deep technical accounting with strategic leadership to standardize practices globally while embracing AI, automation, and analytics to improve close quality and speed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA or Chartered Accountant strongly preferred.
• Progressive leadership experience in accounting, controllership, financial reporting, or audit.

Responsibilities

• Lead global accounting operations and controllership across multiple entities and markets.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close with accurate results.
• Maintain U.S. GAAP adherence and accounting policy application across markets.
• Provide leadership for new products, partnerships, service contracts, and revenue arrangements.
• Strengthen balance-sheet governance, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Partner with auditors to ensure readiness and address findings.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Technology, Operations, and Product teams.
• Develop and lead a high-performing global accounting team.
• Establish metrics for close timeliness, quality, and efficiency.
