Job summary

Solairus Aviation seeks a Captain to operate Global 6000 aircraft out of KVNY, delivering safe, discreet and premium flight services for distinguished travelers. You will manage preflight planning, safety protocols, and on-board service excellence.

Based at Van Nuys, you’ll review maintenance, brief trips, and uphold FARs and Solairus procedures. Strong CRM, world-class airmanship, and flexibility for international legs are essential.

Qualifications

• Total flight time ≥ 3,000 hours.
• PIC ≥ 1,500 hours.
• MEL ≥ 1,500 hours (incl. ≥ 500 MEL PIC).
• Turbojet/Jet time ≥ 500 hours.
• Instrument time ≥ 250 hours.
• Type rating on the Global 6000 and current FAA First-Class Medical.
• Annual ICAO international procedures training.
• On-call availability with flexibility for international ops.
• Residence within two-hour drive of KVNY or willingness to relocate.
• Exceptional airmanship with disciplined CRM and client-first service.

Responsibilities

Job description

Your Mission

• Serve as Captain on the Global 6000, conducting all flights safely, prudently, and efficiently.
• Review aircraft maintenance status and ensure dispatch readiness prior to each mission.
• Perform thorough preflight inspections in accordance with the approved AFM.
• Plan and brief each trip: analyze weather, NOTAMs, facilities, routes, destination and alternate airports.
• Ensure full compliance with Solairus policies, procedures, and applicable FARs.
• Protect the safety and security of passengers, aircraft, and crew at all times.
• Accurately complete all operational, regulatory, and trip documentation.

What You Bring

• Flight Experience:
  • Total time: ≥ 3,000 hours
  • PIC: ≥ 1,500 hours
  • Multi-engine (MEL): ≥ 1,500 hours (including ≥ 500 hours MEL PIC)
  • Turbojet/Jet time: ≥ 500 hours
  • Instrument time: ≥ 250 hours
• Credentials: Type rating on the Global 6000 (or comparable type) and a current FAA First-Class Medical.
• Training: Annual ICAO international procedures training (required).
• Availability: Comfortable with an on-call schedule; flexibility for international operations.
• Residency: Primary residence within a two-hour drive of KVNY or willingness to relocate.
• Mindset: Exceptional airmanship, disciplined CRM, and a refined, client-first service approach.

Based at Van Nuys Airport (KVNY) in Southern California, this operation supports discerning travelers across domestic and international destinations. You’ll represent Solairus Aviation in diverse environments, maintaining professionalism and discretion from preflight through post-flight.
