Solairus Aviation in San Jose, California seeks a Captain to command the Global 6000 flights, ensuring safety, compliance, and a polished passenger experience from wheels-up to touchdown.

You will lead flight planning, weather analysis, NOTAM reviews, and route/fuel strategy while performing thorough preflight checks and maintaining meticulous records. A 3,000+ hour total time and 1,500+ PIC hours are required.

Qualifications

• Total Time: 3,000 hours minimum.
• PIC Time: 1,500 hours.
• MEL Time: 1,500 hours.
• MEL PIC: 500 hours.
• Turbojet Time: 500 hours.
• Instrument Time: 250 hours.
• Current First-Class Medical.
• Ability to work on an on-call basis.
• Completion of ICAO international procedures training annually.
• Primary residence within a five-hour drive of KSJC (or willingness to relocate).
• Global/overseas experience preferred; no Global 6000 type rating required.

Responsibilities

Your Mission

As Captain, you'll be the final authority for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the Global 6000 on every leg. You'll champion meticulous preparation, sound decision-making, and a polished passenger experience from wheels-up to touchdown.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of flight in accordance with company procedures and applicable FARs.
• Review aircraft maintenance status and ensure airworthiness for each mission.
• Conduct thorough, approved preflight inspections per the Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Plan and brief each trip, including comprehensive weather, NOTAMs, airport/alternate assessments, and route/fuel strategy.
• Uphold the highest standards of safety for passengers, aircraft, and crew.
• Accurately complete all required trip documentation and post-flight records.
• Represent Solairus Aviation with professionalism and discretion at all times.
