Solairus Aviation is seeking a Captain for the Gulfstream G600 based at Van Nuys (KVNY). You will be the final authority for safe operation, handling domestic and international missions with a focus on discretion and service excellence.

Required are 3,000+ total hours, PIC time, Gulfstream experience, and an active FAA First-Class Medical. Excellent weather analysis, NOTAM awareness, and strict adherence to FARs underpin daily duties.

Qualifications

• Total flight time of 3,000+ hours and PIC time of 1,500+ hours required.
• Gulfstream G600 type rating or equivalent aircraft experience.
• Current FAA First-Class Medical and ICAO international procedures training.
• On-call availability with flexible schedules and international travel.
• Residence within reasonable distance to KVNY or willing to relocate.
• Uncompromising safety, professionalism and service standards.

Responsabilités

• Serve as Pilot in Command, ensuring safety and world-class service.
• Review maintenance status and airworthiness before departure.
• Conduct pre-flight inspections per Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Plan flights considering weather, NOTAMs, routing, fuel and performance.

The Opportunity

As Captain on the Gulfstream G600, you will be the final authority for the safe operation of each flight, ensuring a world-class travel experience for passengers while protecting the safety of the crew and aircraft. You’ll operate on an on-call basis, execute domestic and international missions, and represent Solairus Aviation with polished professionalism on every leg.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as Pilot in Command, exercising sound judgment and a safety-first approach on all missions.
• Review aircraft maintenance status and ensure airworthiness prior to departure.
• Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections per the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Plan each flight: analyze weather, NOTAMs, facilities, routing, fuel, performance, destination, and alternates.
• Operate in full compliance with Solairus policies, procedures, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Champion passenger, aircraft, and crew safety while delivering discreet, attentive service.
• Complete all trip reports and documentation accurately and on time.

• Type rating on the Gulfstream G600 or a comparable aircraft.

• Annual completion ICAO international procedures training.
• Availability to operate on an on-call basis; flexibility for changing schedules and travel.
• Residence within a two-hour drive of KVNY or willingness to relocate.
• Uncompromising commitment to safety, professionalism, and service excellence.
