Job summary

Solairus Aviation in San Jose, California seeks a Captain to command the Global 6000 flights, ensuring safety, compliance, and a polished passenger experience from wheels-up to touchdown.

You will lead flight planning, weather analysis, NOTAM reviews, and route/fuel strategy while performing thorough preflight checks and maintaining meticulous records. A 3,000+ hour total time and 1,500+ PIC hours are required.

Qualifications

• Total Time: 3,000 hours minimum.
• PIC Time: 1,500 hours.
• MEL Time: 1,500 hours.
• MEL PIC: 500 hours.
• Turbojet Time: 500 hours.
• Instrument Time: 250 hours.
• Current First-Class Medical.
• Ability to work on an on-call basis.
• Completion of ICAO international procedures training annually.
• Primary residence within a five-hour drive of KSJC (or willingness to relocate).
• Global/overseas experience preferred; no Global 6000 type rating required.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of flight per procedures and FARs.
• Review maintenance status and ensure airworthiness.
• Conduct thorough preflight inspections per the Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Plan and brief each trip: weather, NOTAMs, airports, fuel strategy.
• Uphold safety standards for passengers, aircraft, crew.
• Complete trip documentation and post-flight records.
• Represent Solairus Aviation with professionalism and discretion.
