Job summary

The LEGO Group is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on automated equipment in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will troubleshoot PLC, robotics, and automation systems and document actions in CMMS.

You will collaborate with Engineering and Operations, travel internationally for training and commissioning, and be part of our safety-focused culture with LOTO training and 12-hour shift rotations.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanics, Electronics, Mechanics, or related field.
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated industrial equipment in manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or similar environments.
  • Reading electrical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, condition-based, and corrective maintenance on automated equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, robotics, and automation systems.
  • Diagnose equipment issues using PLC software, HMIs, industrial networks, electrical schematics, and manufacturer documentation.
  • Optimize equipment settings to improve reliability, performance, and reduce downtime.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA), PDCA, and other structured problem-solving methods to eliminate recurring failures.
  • Document maintenance activities and corrective actions within the CMMS.
  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, testing, and startup activities.
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, suppliers, and OEMs to implement sustainable equipment improvements.
  • Train and mentor maintenance team members while supporting continuous improvement, TPM, Lean, and Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with LEGO safety standards, including LOTO, and participate in required technical and safety training.
