Job summary

SPS Corporation is seeking a Glazing Mechanic in Apex, NC to install glass and aluminum systems on commercial buildings. You will read blueprints, measure on-site, and ensure water-tight installations while following strict safety guidelines.

The role requires 1–4 years in glazing or related construction, physical stamina, and a willingness to travel to multiple job sites. OSHA 10 is preferred, with potential for growth and mentorship within a 100% employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of glazing experience or related construction trade.
• Proficient in glass handling and installation of curtain walls, storefronts, doors.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and layout drawings.
• OSHA 10 Certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Install exterior and interior glass, aluminum framing, doors, and hardware per project specs.
• Read blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders to determine procedures.
• Transport materials on-site and take accurate field measurements.
• Ensure water-tight, aligned, and safe installations; verify field conditions.
• Mentor helpers and coordinate with foreman and other trades.
