Job summary

SPS Corporation in Apex, NC is seeking an Estimator who will independently deliver accurate estimates on time for glass and metal panel projects. Experience in exterior glass, interior glass, curtain wall, and related products is required. Eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities include collecting bid documents, reviewing drawings, performing takeoffs, obtaining pricing from vendors, attending jobsite visits, and finalizing bids with supervision. Strong organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architectural, Engineering/Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, Windows; Bluebeam.
• Ability to read drawings and measure building components.
• Highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Collect Bid Documents and organize for each project.
• Review drawings/specifications to determine scope and line items.
• Perform takeoffs for exterior glass, interior glass and metal panels.
• Collect material pricing from multiple vendors and store quotes.
• Attend jobsite visits and pre-bid meetings when required.
• Review takeoff with Supervisor to ensure timely estimates.
• Read drawings, conceptualize design, and measure components.
• Monitor bid dates to ensure on-time takeoffs.
• Communicate with clients for questions and organize responses.
