Job summary

CSG Talent is seeking an experienced Glazing Estimator in Baltimore to prepare accurate, competitive estimates for commercial glazing projects. You will review drawings, perform quantity takeoffs, source pricing from subs and suppliers, and craft detailed proposals for submission.

Collaborate with PMs, operations, vendors, and clients to ensure bids meet project goals. The role requires 3+ years in glazing estimating, strong knowledge of glazing systems, and proficiency in estimating software

Qualifications

• 3+ years of glazing estimating experience
• Ability to read architectural drawings and specifications
• Experience with quantity takeoffs and construction pricing
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates and proposals for commercial glazing projects.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, bid documents, and addenda.
• Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs.
• Price storefront, curtain wall, window wall, entrances, glass, and related glazing systems.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identify project scope, exclusions, inclusions, and potential risks.
• Maintain accurate estimating records and bid documentation.
• Communicate with general contractors, suppliers, architects, and internal teams throughout the bidding process.
• Assist with value engineering and alternative product/system pricing where appropriate.
• Support the transition of awarded projects from estimating to project management and operations.

A well-established commercial glazing and exterior construction contractor is looking to add an experienced Glazing Estimator to its team. The company specializes in commercial building-envelope projects and works with general contractors, developers, architects, and owners on a range of glazing and exterior construction projects.

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial glazing projects, reviewing plans and specifications, performing quantity takeoffs, obtaining subcontractor and supplier pricing, and developing detailed proposals for submission. This role will work closely with project management, operations, vendors, and clients to ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and aligned with project requirements.
