Job summary

George Washington University Capital Medical Group in Washington, DC seeks a Board Certified or Board Eligible Glaucoma Ophthalmologist to join a respected academic program. You will provide high-quality clinical care, perform advanced glaucoma surgeries, and actively teach residents and medical students in a collaborative, well-supported environment.

The role offers involvement in diabetes and corneal clinics, an 8 am-5 pm schedule, and a shared call.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility by AB Ophthalmology is required.
• Fellowship training in glaucoma is required.
• Eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia.
• Academic setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide glaucoma laser and incisional procedures and cataract surgeries.
• Educate medical students and ophthalmology residents through didactics and clinical/surgical encounters.
• Contribute to GW Hospital Emergency Department coverage; call is shared and paid per night.
