Job summary

George Washington University Capital Medical Group in Washington, DC seeks a Board Certified or Board Eligible Glaucoma Ophthalmologist to join a respected academic ophthalmology program. This role blends high‑quality clinical practice, advanced glaucoma surgery, and hands‑on education of residents and medical students.

You will develop a high‑volume glaucoma practice, participate in teaching, and enjoy a collaborative, well‑supported environment with Epic EMR and a strong academic affiliation.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.
• Fellowship training in Glaucoma.
• Eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia.
• Academic teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide glaucoma laser and incisional procedures and cataract surgeries.
• Educate medical students and ophthalmology residents through didactics and clinical/surgical encounters.
• Contribute to coverage of GW Hospital Emergency Department; call is shared and paid per night.

Education

Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology

Fellowship trained in Glaucoma

Eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia

Academic teaching experience preferred
