Job summary

SP Industries Inc. in Vineland, NJ is hiring for an Upright Shrink Operator to join our team on a 4/10s schedule, Monday through Thursday on first shift.

You will prepare and shrink Pyrex, Quartz, and other glass, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet quality using precision measuring tools. A high school diploma and English proficiency are required, with 2–5 years of glass experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of glass industry experience.
• Good hand–eye coordination.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Familiar with 5S concepts.
• Team-based work experience.
• Strong math abilities.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Willing to travel light to Buena, NJ.
• High School diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and shrink Pyrex, Quartz, and other glass types.
• Shrink preparation on parts per prints and specs.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications in English.
• Use measuring instruments to ensure parts meet quality.
• Execute sustained production in shrink prep area.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Assist lead with replacement parts, tools, and supplies.
• Observe PPE, safety rules, and environmental requirements.
• Maintain quality and production standards; understand BOMs and routers.
