Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Machine Operator I to support glass preparation for manufacturing and distribution. You will operate equipment such as cutting, grinding/polishing, CNC, or tempering furnaces under supervision and maintain safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, and problem solving, with starting pay of $24 per hour and potential for growth within a large, multi-site organization.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 1–2 years of prior operating experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize deadlines; overtime when required.
• Work performed inside a production environment; safety and quality focused.

Responsibilities

• On/off-loading of the product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates.
• Review work orders and load the proper data into the machine computer software.
• Adhere to production requirements and the quality control plan.
• Visually inspect each piece of glass for imperfections.
• Perform work as assigned by Supervisor and attach labels/tags.
• Read and interpret basic measurements with a tape measure to verify dimensions.
