Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Fishers, IN is seeking a Machine Operator I to support glass manufacturing. You will operate various equipment to prep glass for the next department or customer, reporting to the Production Supervisor.

Starting pay is $24 per hour. This role requires 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand 8–10 hours, and work in a production environment with moderate to high noise. OT may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 1–2 years of prior operating experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize with deadlines; overtime may be required.
• Work performed inside a production environment.
• Lift up to 75 lbs unassisted.
• Stand for 8–10 hours per day on a concrete floor.
• Noise levels can be moderate to high.
• Plant climate conditions apply (heat, cold, humidity).

Responsibilities

• Operate various equipment to prepare glass for next department or customer.
• Load/unload product; manage data into machine software per work orders.
• Adhere to production requirements and quality control plans.
• Visually inspect glass for imperfections.
• Perform tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
• Label and tag products and packages appropriately.
• Read and interpret basic measurements with a tape measure.
