Owens Corning is seeking a Glass Melting Engineer to maintain and improve melting operations, leveraging expertise in batch and furnace design. You will interact with batch and furnace engineers, process leaders, and materials scientists across North America.
The role requires a bachelor’s in a relevant field, 2–3 years in glass melting, and willingness to travel up to 60%. A strong safety focus and readiness to lead technical initiatives are essential.
As a glass manufacturer, the heart of our manufacturing process is melting. In melting, we focus on techniques and technologies to provide process stability, energy efficiency and asset maintenance. A successful Glass Melting Engineer will leverage know-how in melting systems, operating procedures, and furnace design concepts to maintain and improve our existing operations, which includes new technology evaluation and deployment. This requires close interaction with plant batch & furnace engineers, technical leaders, furnace design engineers and raw material/glass scientists.

Location: Within 50 miles of one of the following MNF or Office Locations (Waxahachie, TX, Kansas City KS, Granville, OH, Delmar, NY, Fairburn, GA)
The base salary range for this position is $92,000 to $119,000 with the potential for up to an additional 25% if the applicant hired has additional related qualifications.
