Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Machine Operator 2 for the Cutting Department. The position involves operating cutting and washing equipment to process glass according to customer specs and production needs.

Ideal candidates have manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, good mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity. The First Shift runs 5:00am to 1:00pm with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and specifications.
• Capable of basic math and using measuring tools like tape measures and calipers.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Operate Bilco storage system and washer to retrieve, stage, and process glass for production.
• Operate Hegla cutting table and Remaster system to ensure accurate cutting per orders.
• Inspect glass for defects and ensure quality; perform setup and changeovers as needed.
• Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot minor issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate production records and assist with inventory control.
