Job summary

Under Canvas is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead on-site maintenance across glamping locations. You will supervise the Facilities Team, oversee preventative maintenance, and collaborate with the Operations Manager and Regional Facilities Manager to ensure safety, guest satisfaction, and efficient operations.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a dynamic outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• This role requires a minimum of 2 years as a maintenance technician with supervisory experience.
• Experience with infrastructure systems (plumbing, septic, gas, electrical, generators, landscaping).
• Ability to participate in budget creation and manage department expenses.
• Demonstrated commitment to high quality customer service and safety.

Responsibilities

• Think critically to respond and react quickly to changing property situations.
• Oversee maintenance tasks and train Facilities Team.
• Deliver clear expectations and professional communications.
• Participate in hiring and performance reviews for team members.
• Manage budget items and procure capital purchases.
• Collaborate with camp management and corporate teams.
• Run camp operations independently when OM unavailable.
• Promote sustainability initiatives and safety standards.
