Job summary

Under Canvas Facility Managers ensure glamping locations are operational, safe, functional, and well-maintained so guests can enjoy amenities. This role reports to the Operations Manager and partners with the Regional Facilities Manager for support.

The Facilities Manager leads on-site maintenance, oversees the Facilities Team, and trains staff. Responsibilities include coordinating with the Operations Manager, managing budgets, performing routine and preventative maintenance, and delivering

Qualifications

• 2+ years as maintenance technician with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Experience with infrastructure systems including plumbing, septic, gas, electrical, generators, landscaping, road maintenance, and water/well maintenance.
• Assist Operations Manager in annual build of maintenance department budget.
• Ability to perform duties in absence of OM.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality customer service.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Learn, embrace, and train team on company policies, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Think critically to respond and react quickly to ever changing situations on property.
• Problem solve to resolve issues safely and efficiently.
• Deliver clear expectations to the team in all operational areas.
• Maintain professional communications with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support guest and team member issues promptly and effectively.
• Interview and collaborate with OM on hiring of Facilities team members.
• Participate in performance reviews for team members.
• Deliver corrective actions to team members.
• Prioritize goals and delegate tasks for facilities staff with the camp Operations Manager.
• Run the camp and work independently with minimal oversight when OM is unavailable.
• Streamline processes to maximize efficiency and resource use.
• Establish and maintain relationships with local businesses and communities.
