PPS-HPS in Aurora, OH, is seeking a GL-MACHINE OPERATOR to join our fast-growing, new facility. You will operate production equipment, follow written and verbal instructions, and help maintain a safe, clean workspace.

We offer a 4-day day shift, starting wages $18-$20 per hour, plus benefits including 401(k), paid vacation, holiday pay and medical, dental and vision coverage. Prior manufacturing or blueprint-reading skills are a plus, but we train motivated individuals.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of machine operation and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.
• Hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to read, understand and follow safety procedures.
• Basic math skills for measurements and setups.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• May engage in frequent bending, lifting, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Operates production equipment to produce products in accordance with production requirements and standards.

2. Produces assigned products in accordance with verbal and written instructions.

3. Completes equipment set-up's in accordance with customer specifications and quality procedures.

4. Inspects parts and documents findings on appropriate paperwork as needed.

5. Inspects equipment prior to use to verify equipment is in good working order.

6. Completes all required job documentation.

7. Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner to include returning tools to designated areas daily.

8. Adheres to established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.

9. Notifies lead of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions and/or personal injuries.
