Job summary

Ppswork in Aurora, OH seeks a GL-MACHINE OPERATOR for our new facility. The role starts at $18-$20 per hour with a day shift and a 4-day workweek, plus benefits including 401K, paid vacation, holiday pay and medical, dental and vision coverage.

You will operate production equipment, follow simple blueprints and quality procedures, document findings, and keep a clean, safe workspace. Basic math and troubleshooting skills are required.

• Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.
• Hand-eye coordination.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Required to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Frequent bending, lifting, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers.

Responsibilities

• Completes equipment set-up’s in accordance with customer specifications and quality procedures.
• Inspects parts and documents findings on appropriate paperwork as needed.
• Inspects equipment prior to use to verify equipment is in good working order.
• Completes all required job documentation.
• Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner to include returning tools to designated areas daily.
• Adheres to established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
• Notifies lead of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions and/or personal injuries.
