Job summary

Austin Powder Company is seeking a GL Accountant to join the U.S. Center of Excellence. The role supports the month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting, journal entry preparation, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting.

The position collaborates with the U.S. GL Operations Manager, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and operational finance teams to drive process standardization, internal controls, and continuous improvement across U.S. operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• General ledger and month-end close experience required.
• Manufacturing accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with account reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Shared Services or Center of Excellence experience preferred.
• ERP experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and close activities.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and document support.
• Coordinate intercompany transactions and confirmations.
• Assist in monthly financial statements and consolidation reporting.
• Maintain internal controls and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Support ERP enhancements and standardization of procedures across units.
