Job summary

PGTEK is seeking a GKE / GDC Edge Engineer to support our L400 Advanced Development capability. The role focuses on bringing secure Google Cloud capabilities to edge and air-gapped environments for federal and DoD customers.

Hybrid or remote with travel to customer sites (~10–25%). Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI eligibility preferred, with Washington, DC / Northern Virginia area preferred. Competitive benefits included for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software, cloud, data, cybersecurity, systems, or AI engineering experience.
• 3+ years of advanced hands-on experience in production or regulated environments.
• Deep experience with GKE, Google Distributed Cloud, Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps, supply-chain security, networking, SRE, and federal controls.

Responsibilities

• Design clusters/fleets, identity, networking, policy, observability, artifact promotion, upgrades, DR, and air-gapped operations
• Implement solutions using GKE, Google Distributed Cloud, Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps, and supply-chain security
• Mentor team members and contribute reusable standards
• Support RMF/FedRAMP/DoD authorization activities
