Qualifications

• Experience using ESRI ArcGIS desktop and online for independent analysis and map production.
• Experience performing complex spatial analyses and creating data queries from multiple sources.
• Editing and maintaining GIS data with high-precision geometry, topology, and geodatabase constraints.
• Experience creating and designing web GIS applications using ArcGIS Online/Enterprise.
• Ability to apply cartographic principles to produce accessible, legible maps.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse partners and communicate data decisions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex GIS data creation, maintenance, and extraction tasks.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners on spatial data collection and mapping products.
• Maintain GIS data related to community and economic development; present via maps and web apps.
• Use analytical models to support program needs and inform decisions.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts to analyze demographic data for city use.
• Prepare and produce maps and other graphic representations for reports and dashboards.
• Develop and maintain data layers with GIS editing tools and automated workflows.
• Consult with partners to define GIS requirements and plan mapping projects.
• Work with GIS developers to translate user needs into geospatial tools.
• Assist in installing and testing GIS software and provide training as needed.
• Research building permit history to ensure data integrity.
