Job summary

Qualifications

CAD Technician and GIS Technician / GIS Analyst - Utility Industry

Location: Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462 – On‑site

Duration: 9–12 months plus. Possible temp to perm hire

Required technical skills: GIS CAD technology, MicroStation Connect preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare utility mapping packages for field crews.
• Perform preliminary as‑built work.
• Review mapping submissions for completeness, accuracy and standards.
• QA/QC detailed drawings, plans, and layouts based on specifications provided by engineers, architects, or designers.
• Understand design changes and modifications into existing drawings for QA/QC of completed work.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Create 2D and 3D models of structures, components, and systems.
• Read calculations and measurements to ensure accuracy of drawings.
• Effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software such as GTECH, MicroStation Connect, ESRI, or similar.
