Job summary

Colorado State University is seeking a GIS Technician to support the Vegetation Mapping and Wetland Delineation teams at CSU Fort Collins, CO. The role is in-person, full-time, with potential fieldwork and data-entry duties across GIS tasks.

You will digitize aerial imagery, create maps and plant guides, and assist in data management and reporting. Preference for residents of Colorado and those able to relocate with a vehicle.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS in natural resources or related field (sophomore+).
• 3 months to 3 years of relevant experience (internships, fieldwork, etc.).
• Basic field data collection skills (vegetation surveys, GPS-based mapping).

Responsibilities

• Administrative: data entry, public outreach, site forms, reports, and documentation.
• Database and data management, spatial analysis, and correspondence.
• Possibility to assist teams with field work when needed.
