Qualifications

  • Foundational knowledge of forestry principles and field techniques; follow prescriptions with safety focus
  • Valid driver's license; ability to travel and work irregular hours
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and GIS/GPS tools
  • Ability to work independently and in a team; strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field forestry tasks including inventories, boundary identification, cruising/marking, treatment layout, and monitoring to support forest management projects
  • Assist with grant and cost-share program delivery by preparing scopes/estimates and tracking progress
  • Support timber sale preparation and administration by assembling maps and coordinating with contractors
  • Provide customer service to landowners and community partners; participate in outreach events
  • Maintain project records and reports; assist with purchasing and equipment logistics
