Job summary

South Central Indiana REMC is seeking a GIS Specialist to support the effective use and maintenance of the GIS platform, including collection and upkeep of asset data for integration with OMS, map viewer, and engineering tools. The role emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and collaboration with teams across the cooperative.

The ideal candidate will have GIS experience or a related degree, familiarity with ESRI mapping products, and knowledge of the SCI service area, roads, and terrain.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; GIS experience or degree in GIS/Geography/CS.
• Experience with ESRI mapping products and utility distribution is preferred.
• Knowledge of SCI service area, roads and terrain is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support use and maintenance of GIS including asset data collection and updating.
• Maintain accurate GIS data for OMS, map viewer, and engineering software.
