Jackson County Missouri is seeking a GIS Technician to read and verify legal deeds and manage GIS data within the county GIS team.
You will create cartographic products, perform GIS analyses, and support internal and external customers on conveyance inquiries. This full-time role offers benefits and opportunities to contribute to county services.

Responsible for reading, deciphering, and verifying legal descriptions on recorded deeds and determining the next steps, either name changes or segregations, for entering deed into tax software. Assists internal and external customers on conveyance related inquiries. The associate will also be creating, updating, and maintaining all GIS data, performing GIS analysis as requested, creating cartographic products, and working as part of the GIS team to ensure exceptional customer service for both County Departments and the taxpayers Responsible for working with other GIS stakeholders to coordinate and implement complementary. The employee performs other duties as assigned, including special projects.
