Job summary

Waggoner Engineering in Bossier City, LA seeks an GIS Specialist I with strong ArcGIS expertise to support spatial analysis, data management, and cartographic deliverables. You will collaborate with Civil/Municipal teams and help implement ArcGIS Online/Enterprise within engineering workflows.

Ideal candidates hold a GIS-related bachelor's degree and are proficient in ArcGIS Pro, Online, and Enterprise, with knowledge of SQL Server or PostgreSQL a plus. Hybrid work options may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Strong GIS principles, spatial analysis, and cartographic knowledge.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with Python scripting and ArcGIS API for Python is a plus.
• Knowledge of SQL Server or PostgreSQL is desirable.
• Familiarity with civil or environmental engineering is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creation, maintenance, and analysis of spatial datasets using ArcGIS.
• Conduct spatial analysis to support engineering projects.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver GIS solutions.
• Manage GIS data repositories ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
• Produce cartographic products for reports and client deliverables.
• Provide technical support and training on ArcGIS.
• Stay updated on ArcGIS developments and improve workflows.
• Assist in ArcGIS Online and Enterprise administration.
• Support integration of GIS with other engineering software.
