Overview
DecisionPoint is seeking a GIS Specialist to join our team in support of the Transportation Geospatial Information Systems (TGIS) contract. TGIS provides software development and support for USTRANSCOM and SDDC.
This position is on a hybrid telecommute model at Scott AFB with at least 2 days a week onsite required.
Duties & Responsibilities
Work in a team environment to administer, monitor, and troubleshoot ArcGIS Enterprise-based solutions in cloud environments, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Coordinate licensing, deployment, maintenance, and software patching for multiple ArcGIS Enterprise deployments and ArcGIS desktop software deployments.
- Adhere to SLA response times and standards based on contractual agreements.
- Engage directly with clients to gather relevant information, understand client's business issues and challenges, establish functional and data requirements, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop, implement, and administer ArcGIS Server/Enterprise with various extensions, including Portal for ArcGIS, and a range of client applications such as Operations Dashboard.
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise geodatabases, mainly with Microsoft SQL Server backing, and thoroughly document geodatabase architecture.
Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance required.
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field and 4 years minimum of relevant experience
- 2-3 years of ArcGIS experience to include ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS portal, ArcGIS Dashboard experience.
- Demonstrated relevant expertise with Esri ArcGIS Platform, including ArcGIS for Desktop, ArcGIS Enterprise, and their respective extensions, GeoEvent, and Operations Dashboard.
- Proficiency with the ESRI product line, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, AGOL, and related desktop extensions.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly.
- Practical Python programming experience, especially for ArcGIS applications in a professional environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Coding experience in GIS is desired (Python, SQL, etc)
- Experience hosting business mission-critical production environments with high up-time service level agreements.
- Experience working with change-regulated environments, e.g. development, staging, and production
