Job summary
WR Systems is seeking a Software Test Engineer in Norfolk, VA to support the design and testing of geospatial GIS applications using advanced programming languages. The role entails GUI and backend testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning in a collaborative environment.
The candidate should have a BS in a related field and at least 3 years of Software Test Engineer experience, with strong knowledge of C++, C#, and/or Python and familiarity with ASP.NET, Blazor, .NET Core, and Mono.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or final year in Computer/Software Engineering, CS, Math, Physics or related field.
- 3+ years of Software Test Engineer experience.
- Strong understanding of advanced programming concepts (OOP, design patterns, multi-threading).
- Experience with C++, C#, and/or Python.
Responsibilities
- Support geospatial software design and testing focusing on GUIs and backend logic/databases.
- Conduct software testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning.
