WR Systems in Norfolk, VA is seeking a GIS Software Engineer, Associate to design and develop geospatial GIS applications using C++/C# with ASP.NET, Blazor and .NET Core. The role emphasizes GUI, backend logic, databases, and collaboration with engineering teams.

Candidates should have a BS in Computer/Software Engineering, CS, Math, Physics, or related field, 0–3 years of software experience, and familiarity with object-oriented programming, design patterns, multi-threading, IPC, buffering, and

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in a related field (or in final year).
0–3 years of software development experience.
Strong understanding of programming concepts including OOP, design patterns, multi-threading, IPC, buffering, and persistence.
Experience with C++ and/or C#; familiarity with ASP.NET/Blazor/.NET Core/Mono is a plus.

Responsibilities

Supports design and development of geospatial software with GUI and backend/database components.
Supports software development, integration, testing and troubleshooting.
Collaborates with engineering teams to enhance GIS software applications.
