Job summary

The GIS Mapping Analyst I supports the Florida Department of Transportation by developing Geographic Information Systems products across desktop, server, and online platforms. The role involves collecting, analyzing, and documenting spatial data; maintaining metadata and project records; and performing technical tasks such as data creation, web publishing, and field inventory.

This position is based in the Geographic Information Systems Office in Tallahassee and serves both internal DOT offices

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GIS concepts and cartography terminology.
• Ability to create geospatial products and interpret aerial imagery.
• Experience collecting, analyzing and documenting spatial data.
• Ability to work with internal and external customers professionally.
