Job summary

The State of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is seeking a Survey Supervisor in the Survey and Mapping Office to lead staff, ensure production quality, and manage geospatial CADD workflows.

You will supervise mapping and surveying software, coordinate training, assist with QA reviews, and support contracts, scheduling, and technical advisory activities. Join a team focused on safety, mobility, and innovation in Florida's transportation program.

Qualifications

• Supervise employees; plan, motivate, train, and evaluate performance.
• Oversee Survey processing, CADD, and Right of Way mapping applications.
• Develop and manage geospatial CADD applications used in location survey and mapping production.
• Coordinate training and QA for surveying projects.
• Assist in contract negotiations, hours estimation, and project scheduling.
• Prepare technical reports and QA reviews of surveying outputs.

Responsibilities

• Supervises employees by communicating with them, motivating, training, and evaluating them, and by planning and directing their work.
• Oversee development, maintenance, and customer support of Survey processing, CADD, and Right of Way mapping applications.
• Serve as a CADD applications Surveyor and manage geospatial CADD tools.
• Coordinate with Production Support and act as technical advisor to the committee.
• Assist in testing hardware/software for surveying and mapping and provide training.
