Job summary

The City of Kirkland’s IT Department is seeking an experienced IT Supervisor to lead the GIS team, overseeing enterprise GIS platforms, spatial databases, and GIS-enabled apps while performing advanced hands-on work. Ideal candidates will design and manage spatial systems, administer geodatabases, develop GIS applications, and integrate GIS with other business systems using Esri software.

5+ years of management experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Geography, or related field required; relevant experience may be considered.
Experience administering enterprise geodatabases and designing spatial data workflows.

Responsibilities

Supervise GIS team, mentor staff, and manage workload.
Oversee delivery and performance of enterprise GIS platforms and applications.
Design and administer geodatabases, data analysis, and GIS development projects.
Coordinate with internal customers and vendors to meet business needs.
Lead project planning, budgeting, and progress reporting.
