Job summary

HDR in Round Rock, TX is seeking a GIS Intern to gain real-world experience by developing geospatial solutions. You'll assist with spatial analysis, map production, data editing, and GIS database management using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.

Collaborate with GIS staff and project teams under direct supervision, participate in mentoring programs, and perform other duties as needed while supporting our employee-owned culture.

In the role of GIS intern, we'll count on you to:

Gain real-world experience on projects by developing and implementing geospatial and data visualization solutions.

Assist with spatial analysis, map production, data editing, and GIS database management using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.

Support field data collection and QA/QC of GIS datasets.

Collaborate with GIS staff and project teams on a variety of assignments under direct supervision.

Participate in mentoring and young professionals' programs.

Preferred Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Geography, GIS, Geospatial Science, Planning, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Demonstrated knowledge of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.

Experience with ArcGIS Online web maps, dashboards, Field Maps, Survey123, or Python scripting is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
