Our customer is seeking a skilled Full Stack Software Developer with strong GIS and geospatial data science experience, Python fluency, and a proactive, adaptive mindset. The successful candidate will join our team to support and expand our cloud-native analytics platform, turning complex agricultural datasets into elegant, user-focused web applications.

This position will be responsible for working on internal applications and communicating with the team and internal power users, rather than directly with clients. The candidate will work on GIS-related tasks, as the company uses Mapbox, a GIS software, and its integrations with Python and React. A typical day involves a brief daily standup and then working independently, with the option to reach out for guidance as needed.

Primary Duties

1. Design, build, and deploy scalable web applications focusing on performance and usability
2. Develop data processing pipelines, integrating aerial imagery and geospatial agriculture data
3. Collaborate on database design and data optimization
4. Contribute to front-end architecture to support user experience design
5. Communicate effectively with cross-functional partners including clients, data scientists, and cooperators
6. Triage and resolve issues in a production environment; participate in code reviews and product planning

Compensation & Benefits

The pay range is $125,000 - $140,000 per year. Benefits include medical & dental, critical illness, accident, hospital coverage, life insurance, PTO, vacation, sick leave, and a SIMPLE-IRA with employer matching up to 3%. The company covers 100% of health/dental premiums for employees and 50% for dependents.
