Job summary

PUD #1 of Clallam County in Washington is seeking a GIS Engineering Technician to maintain and expand the District's GIS capabilities. You will design and update GIS layers, integrate data from multiple sources, and work with the IT team to ensure accurate, timely information for engineering projects.

The role requires ArcGIS Desktop certification or equivalent, a GIS-related degree or 3 years of engineering tech experience, and familiarity with AutoCAD and ESRI GIS tools.

Qualifications

• Requires 3 years of experience as Engineering Tech II, or a Bachelor's degree in GIS related field.
• Requires ArcGIS Desktop Professional certification or equivalent.
• Previous work with NISC software preferred.
• Experience in surveying and mapping of utility systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and integrations of applications and systems that support the engineering department.
• Design, create, update and maintain GIS layers for engineering department.
• Use GIS data to find solutions to engineering department issues.
• Interface with IT and outside computer support personnel; work with Survalent SCADA, NISC including OMS, CIS, ABS, MapWise and AppSuite.
