Job summary

The City of Denton seeks a GIS Manager to develop, implement, and oversee GIS data, databases, and integrations across divisions. You will provide GIS analysis, technical support, and guidance to staff while coaching team members in best practices.

Responsibilities include design and maintenance of spatial databases, coordinating projects with stakeholders, producing maps and dashboards, and ensuring data quality and policy compliance in a fast-paced municipal environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS or related field and 3 years of GIS data experience.
• Strong knowledge of GIS data management, data quality, and spatial analytics.
• Experience coaching staff and coordinating with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain GIS databases and schemas.
• Coordinate GIS projects and meet deadlines.
• Provide GIS analysis, technical support, and training to stakeholders.
• Develop SOPs for GIS workflows and data maintenance.
• Create maps and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
