Job summary

City of Denton is seeking a Senior Asset Management & GIS Supervisor to oversee Asset Management and GIS Services for Water, Wastewater, Drainage and Streets. Lead division staff, set service standards using PCI, ensure data accuracy, and coordinate with stakeholders to align with Master Planning efforts.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and Asset Management Certification, plus four years in asset management and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related field.
  • Four (4) years’ experience in water utilities/public works asset management, or related field.
  • One (1) year experience in management or supervisory capacity.
  • Must have a valid Asset Management Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee division and staff activities with KPI monitoring and standards enforcement.
  • Coordinate asset management and GIS data accuracy for city assets.
  • Develop asset replacement plans and evaluate asset lifecycles.
  • Prepare and monitor division budget and capital plans.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on utility projects and master planning.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to internal and external audiences.
