Job summary

The Data Analyst II position with the City of Tucson’s Water Department focuses on gathering, analyzing, and managing GIS data while QA/QC’ing editors’ outputs. Responsibilities include performing geospatial analyses, maintaining databases, using ETL tools, and publishing data to the city data portal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (GIS, CS, MIS, Stats, Economics, Engineering) or equivalent.
• 2 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license with 2 years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform geospatial analyses to support field ops, maintenance, development, and planning.
• Maintain and create relational databases and data systems with versioning across the utility network map.
• Provide QA/QC oversight of GIS editors’ work and pursue quality improvements.
