Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a GIS/Data Analyst 2 to support environmental, remediation, compliance, asset management, and engineering projects throughout California. This role combines geospatial analysis, database management, data visualization, and technical support to help project teams deliver high-quality services to clients across environmental and infrastructure sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years GIS and data management experience.
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
• Strong Excel skills and data analysis aptitude.
• Knowledge of relational databases and data management principles.
• Experience creating maps and technical figures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and data quality.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication; client-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate GIS products and data deliverables on schedule.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations using GIS and BI tools.
• Support environmental scientists, engineers, and project managers with mapping and data deliverables.
• Maintain QA/QC standards and data integrity.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams; contribute to automation and data workflows.
