Apex Companies is seeking a GIS/Data Analyst 2 to support environmental, remediation, compliance, asset management, and engineering projects across California. The role blends geospatial analysis, data management, visualization, and technical support to deliver high-quality services.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in GIS software, data management, and reporting, and enjoy working with multidisciplinary teams to turn complex datasets into actionable information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 3+ years of GIS and data management experience.
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of relational databases and data management principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update GIS databases and geodatabases.
- Create maps, figures, exhibits, and web mapping applications.
- Perform spatial analysis for environmental investigations and asset management.
- Integrate data from multiple sources and support QA/QC reviews.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations; track project metrics and budgets.
