Job summary

Pinal County in Arizona is seeking a GIS Technician/Analyst to review and process real property documents, draw and update GIS maps, and maintain parcel data. You will work under supervision to ensure data integrity and support the Assessor's Office with mapping projects.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Engineering, Cartography, Computer Science, or related field.
One year of experience working with Geographic Information Systems.
Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience may substitute for the minimum requirements.

Responsibilities

Review technical documents describing real property and ownership; assign parcel numbers.
Implement parcel splits, combinations, and legal acreage changes in GIS.
Update parcel maps and maintain GIS database according to policies.
Assist county staff and the public in obtaining information.
Maintain data quality and perform quality control checks in GIS data.
Create and update property descriptions for Assessor parcels.
