Job summary

CBRE is seeking a part-time GIS role in Dallas, TX, designed for students pursuing Geography. You will learn GIS fundamentals and support production of map-based market analysis materials for commercial real estate.

You will work with ESRI software, ArcGIS Online/Desktop, and Adobe Creative Suite to create high-quality visuals, while handling data extraction, formatting, and QA under supervision. This role emphasizes learning and collaboration in a CRE setting.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Geography degree with strong academic record.
Experience with GIS technology using ESRI required.
Ability to work with enterprise databases with GIS is preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Learn to support production of map-based results using ESRI and Adobe Creative Suite.
Assist GIS team with mapping workload overflow.
Acquire and maintain market data for office buildings, malls, shopping centers, and retailers.
Extract, format, and transform demographic- and location-related data for mapping. Identify data issues and improve extraction processes.
Log and prioritize work using the company’s map ordering/workflow system.
Maintain a map library for dedicated regions.
Keep current with internal GIS training and advanced analyses.
