Job summary

HDR is seeking a GIS Analyst to contribute to environmental and archaeological projects. The role involves creating data management scripts, conducting spatial analyses, and generating maps using ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, and related extensions.

You will support field data collection and document technical procedures. Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree in a closely related field, at least 3 years of GIS experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or closely related field.
Minimum of 3 years of practical GIS experience; advanced degree may offset.
Proficient in ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online and extensions (3D Analyst, Spatial Analyst).
Proficient in Microsoft 365 Apps.
Working knowledge of interoperability tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Ad hoc Environmental and Archeological projects.
Create data management and analysis scripts and models.
Conduct spatial analyses and prepare maps using ArcGIS.
Perform data input and editing of spatial and tabular data using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
Support field data collection using mobile GIS/GPS equipment.
Follow and document technical procedures.
Perform other duties as needed.
