Job summary

HDR is seeking a Hydrogeologist to conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, design field studies, and manage data for diverse hydrology projects. You will draft technical memos and reports while collaborating with project teams in a dynamic, employee-owned environment.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Water Resources, or related field, with strong GIS and technical writing skills, plus fieldwork readiness and independent work

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Environmental Studies, Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Water Resources or closely related field.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with technical evaluations and conceptual modeling.
  • Demonstrated basic working skills with GIS, Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Total Station experience (GPS and associated software).
  • Strong technical writing skills are also necessary.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of task.
  • May require field work in remote areas.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and modeling.
  • Help design and conduct field studies and be responsible for data collection, compilation and analysis for a variety of hydrology-related projects.
  • Draft technical memos or reports.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary.
